A 12\u00aa etapa do Campeonato Mundial de F-2 terminou neste domingo, 15 de setembro. Competindo pela equipe Invicta Racing, com o suporte da McLaren F-1, o piloto brasileiro Gabriel Bortoleto acumulou um quinto e um quarto lugar nas duas corridas em Baku, no Azerbaij\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Com o resultado, o jovem de S\u00e3o Paulo assumiu a lideran\u00e7a da classifica\u00e7\u00e3o, com um total de 169,5 pontos. Faltam, apenas, duas rodadas para o encerramento do calend\u00e1rio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

O fim de semana de Gabriel teve in\u00edcio ainda na sexta-feira, com o treino livre e a tomada de tempos. Bortoleto, com um carro que n\u00e3o apresentou em nenhum momento o desempenho impressionante visto na etapa de Monza, conseguiu a sexta melhor marca na sess\u00e3o classificat\u00f3ria. Este resultado lhe garantiu a quinta posi\u00e7\u00e3o para a largada da Sprint Race e, naturalmente, o sexto lugar, para a largada da Feature Race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Diante de uma pista de rua extremamente desafiadora, Gabriel assumiu uma postura conservadora na largada da prova Sprint. Evitando ao m\u00e1ximo algum contato ele caiu para a oitava coloca\u00e7\u00e3o, por\u00e9m, seguiu no primeiro pelot\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Com o passar das voltas o brasileiro conseguiu manter um bom ritmo, gerenciou ao m\u00e1ximo o desgaste dos pneus, por\u00e9m, sempre esteve muito pressionado. A cinco voltas para o final um incidente provocou a entrada do safety-car que permaneceu na pista por duas voltas. Na relargada, de forma precisa, Gabriel conseguiu se posicionar muito bem, recuperou tr\u00eas posi\u00e7\u00f5es e, mesmo ap\u00f3s ter recebido um toque do estreante Christian Mansell, conseguiu cruzar a linha de chegada na quinta posi\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Com o resultado ele somou quatro pontos na classifica\u00e7\u00e3o do Campeonato ficando a apenas 6,5 pontos do l\u00edder, o franc\u00eas Isac Hadjar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Feature Race, disputada no domingo, come\u00e7ou com um grave acidente na largada. O carro de Kush Maini ficou parado no grid e acabou sendo atingido em cheio pelos carros de Oliver Goethe e Josep Maria Marti, este \u00faltimo, inclusive, capotou no meio da pista.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A corrida foi interrompida com bandeira vermelha e foram gastos quase 30 minutos para o rein\u00edcio da prova. Diante do atraso a organiza\u00e7\u00e3o determinou que a corrida seria conclu\u00edda por tempo e, no momento da relargada, faltavam 28 minutos para o fim. Gabriel conseguiu uma boa largada e pulou para a quinta coloca\u00e7\u00e3o. Neste posto ele permaneceu at\u00e9 o momento das paradas de box. Em um bom trabalho a equipe Invicta o recolocou na pista na mesma posi\u00e7\u00e3o. A esta altura faltavam ainda 17 minutos para o fim da prova e Bortoleto, ent\u00e3o, passou a impor um ritmo mais forte. Ele superou Zane Maloney assumindo a quarta posi\u00e7\u00e3o e deu in\u00edcio \u00e0 persegui\u00e7\u00e3o do terceiro colocado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faltando 12 minutos para o fim da corrida ele estava \u00e0 tr\u00eas segundos de Kimi Antonelli. Com uma sequ\u00eancia de voltas muito velozes Gabriel foi registrando seguidas voltas mais r\u00e1pidas e, quando faltavam 4 minutos para o fim ele j\u00e1 estava a menos de um segundo do concorrente, o que lhe permitiria a abertura de DRS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Um acidente ocasionou a entrada do Safety-Car que, desta forma, permaneceu na pista at\u00e9 a bandeirada final. Richard Verschor (HOL) venceu a prova seguido por Victor Martins (FRA) e Kimi Antonelli (ITA). Bortoleto confirmou a quarta coloca\u00e7\u00e3o que, pelo n\u00famero de voltas da corrida, valeu 10 pontos. O brasileiro levou ainda mais um ponto referente \u00e0 volta mais r\u00e1pida da corrida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Com o resultado Gabriel Bortoleto \u00e9 o l\u00edder do Campeonato Mundial de F-2, com 169,5 pontos, faltando apenas duas rodadas para o final. Isac Hadjar (FRA) \u00e9 o segundo colocado com 165 e Zane Maloney (BAR) o terceiro, com 135.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

O Campeonato Mundial de F-2 retoma as suas disputas no fim do m\u00eas de novembro. Entre os dias 29 de novembro e 1\u00ba de dezembro o circuito de Lusail, no Catar, recebe a pen\u00faltima etapa da temporada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
